My name is Alex Bibiano. My journey in photography began at the age of eight, when my father handed me his Canon AE-1 during a carnival parade in Germany. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion that has carried me from film photography and black-and-white development to modern digital cameras and post-processing techniques.
Professionally, I work as a software engineer—you can find more about my technical background on LinkedIn. Outside of work, photography has always been a personal passion, and I’ve dedicated myself to it with enthusiasm whenever time has allowed.
I’m fortunate to have a family home in the Caurel mountain range in Galicia, a stunning natural setting that has deeply influenced my love for nature photography. Life with three children and years of involvement in a local photography association have also led me to explore other genres, including wildlife, macro, architecture, and newborn photography.
In recent years, I’ve developed a growing passion for still life photography. Through specialized workshops—most notably with Harold Ross Fine Art Photography—I’ve deepened my understanding of light, shadow, composition, and visual storytelling. This has become a key element in my artistic expression and is reflected throughout my portfolio.
I currently live in Barcelona, Spain, a vibrant city that continues to inspire my creative journey.
